Worthwhile Weekend Words

I have three things for you this week:

First, over at Storyline Blog, a timely reminder that we should find joy not in what we do, but in how we do it. I’ve mentioned a few times how I’ve wrestled with wanting to do something more, wanting to make a “bigger” difference in recent months, and this piece let me know yet again that the “small” matters as much as the “big”, and that joy is found in adjusting my attitude.

I loved this article about love and judgement, and about what our hearts need. “More law never silences the voice of condemnation we hear from the law; the law cannot silence itself. The only thing that can ever silence the voice of condemnation is the voice of unconditional, one-way, I-love-you-always-and-forever love.”

Last but not least, I was challenged to think about the words I believe about myself after reading this piece at She Loves Magazine. “I am learning to be very careful about who holds the pen in my life. My sisters, my husband, a few close friends, these are the editors in my life. They get to suggest changes, show me where the tale may need re-written. But I am the pen-holder. I get the final say. At the end of the day, I want it to truly be my story. I get to decide.”

How about you? Read anything interesting this week?
